    Every child in Fresno County deserves a high-quality education that unlocks their full potential and prepares them for a bright future. Strong schools strengthen our entire community, creating greater opportunity, a skilled workforce, and stronger economy. That's why I'm running for Fresno County Superintendent of Schools.​

    With 40 years in education—including 20 years in the classroom and serving as superintendent of two school districts—I know what works and how to propel our schools forward. ​

Today, more than half of Fresno County students cannot read at grade level, putting them at risk of falling behind for life. We have the educators, knowledge, and resources to change that. What we need is an experienced leader who acts with urgency and delivers results. ​

    As Fresno County Superintendent, my first priority will be ensuring every child reads proficiently by third grade because reading is the foundation for lifelong success. I will partner with school districts, educators, and families to implement proven literacy strategies, support outstanding teachers, and hold our system accountable for measurable results.​

    Our children’s future cannot wait. Together, we can give every child the strong start—and bright future—they deserve. I ask for your vote on November 3.
